The Effect of Smoking on Oxygen Saturation Level of Patients Covid-19

Background: The Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease caused by SARS-COV2 was first discovered in Wuhan, China, December 2019. WHO has set Covid 19 to be a pandemic which resulted an increase death rates worldwide. Covid-19 attacks the respiratory system resembles pneumonia but signs of decrease oxygen saturation. In Indonesia, many people, especially men, practice smoking, where smoking can cause problems, there is no sign saturation.
 Objectives: This study aims determine effect on saturation levels patients.
 Methods: type research analytic with cross sectional design. Total population 52 inclusion and exclusion criteria.
 Results: shows that 21.2% patients who smoke 6-12 cigarettes / day have <75%, result p-value = 0.000, means between decreasing saturation, 53-fold chance covid patients. People Conclusion: Decrease covid-19 patients, due toxicity smoked. smokers are confirmed Covid-19, will worsening supply blood, indicated <75%.
